Location: Chandler, Arizona

Purpose: The forklift driver will be responsible for building outgoing lumber packages in the lumber yard.

General Job Description

• Receive, stock, ship, order and count inventory items
• Assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials
• Use forklift to build outgoing orders for lumber
• Empty trash receptacles as necessary
• Keep staging area clean and organized
• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 75 lbs. frequently and greater than 100 lbs. occasionally).
• Must be alert to surroundings; position requires high degree of situational awareness.
• Read and interpret work orders, accurately select lumber, and stage all components.
• Other duties as necessary.

Knowledge & Experience 

• Previous construction experience a plus.
• Framing or woodworking experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 100 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Skills & Abilities 

• Operate forklift with foot and hand controls.
• Ability to follow instructions from Supervisors.
• Ability to use basic power tools and hammer.
• Ability to add and subtract in all units of standard US measurements.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must be alert to surroundings; position requires high degree of situational awareness. Ability to bend, stop and move repetitively while working with power tools.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
