Like, Totally! It was an awesome day at the Southwest Builders Show, Wednesday, October 19 at WestWorld! You can find all event photos here.

First stop, the check-in/registration desk. Attendees loved the new print your own name badge check in process. Thank you, ADT for sponsoring the new registration system and greeting guests as they arrived! The larger name badges sponsored by Adobe Homes Systems made it easy to see attendee and company names. The stellar looking lanyards were provided by Active Pool. Before entering under the R/S Service & Supply custom designed entry unit; AAM, LLC staff members gifted everyone with a high-quality denim reusable show bag!

Prior to the opening of the show floor, kicking off the day was the Annual Purchasing Agents, Suppliers and Subcontractors (P.A.S.S.) Breakfast, sponsored by Diversified Builder Supply. A total of 25 builder company purchasing agents and executives served as table hosts amongst the nearly 210 attendees. After a welcoming introduction from Matt Linaman, Division President at Starlight Homes; Richie Contartesi shared his NEXT PLAY™ Accountability System. Richie works “to build teams who are clear on their goals, focused on the next play, and how to stay accountable each week”.

Alan Jones, Lennar’s Division President began the Forecast Luncheon by thanking APS and the APS Energy Star New Homes Program for once again sponsoring the annual luncheon, for their ongoing commitment and support of the Home Builders Association (HBACA). He turned the podium over to Kerri Carnes, who was recently promoted to Director of Customer Grid Solutions at APS. Keri then welcomed Chris Camacho, President/CEO of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and Jenna Hamilton, partner with DC based lobbying firm Capitol Legislative Strategies and represents the Home Builders Association of Central Arizona and the Leading Builders of America.

ProTeX The PT Xperts, LLC sponsored this year’s Ping Pong Challenge and 80’s arcade games. True to form the ProTeX team was dressed to the 80’s, came up with two fun, challenging ping pong contests and great 80’s giveaways such a fanny packs and Rubik’s cubes. Wes Gage, Founder/CEO never disappoints with his exceptional themed attire. Thank you to ProTeX for awarding prizes to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ping pong challenge contest winners!

Felten Engineering Group, this year’s show prize sponsor gave away today’s version of 80’s swag: Nintendo Switch Lite, with a 30-in-1 game collection and sanDisk 128 GB; a Kodak Mini Shot 3 Retro (Instant Camera & Photo Printer) Accessory Gift Bundle; Bose SoundLink Around-ear wireless headphones and a $250 Gift Card. Concluding the day was the 2:30, “After Party” sponsored by Southwest Gas Corporation and ProTeX The PT Xperts, LLC with live 80’s music from solo artist Jeff Ocheltree, catered, tasty hors d'oeuvre, and complimentary beverages on behalf of the sponsors. With so many enjoying the after-party we ran out of room for the corn hole boards.
