On May 4, the City of Goodyear announced that it is pushing back its anticipated timeline for its impact fee update. The City previously anticipated holding the first public hearing on May 22 which would mean a likely effective date of January 1, 2024, for the new fees.

As part of the update process, the City hosted a series of stakeholder meetings to get feedback from the builder/developer community. The first stakeholder meeting took place on Tuesday, April 11. During this meeting, the City announced some proposed revisions which have the effect of reducing the size of the increase.
