Governor’s Water Policy Council Meeting
The Governor's Water Council met on June 27 at the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR). This was the first meeting after the announcement of the Phoenix AMA model, which identified 49,000-acre feet annually of unmet demand. In the Governor's press conference, she articulated that the solutions to our current groundwater challenges would be discussed in the Water Council, which the HBACA is a member of, with recommendations to be made in six months.
