Sen. Steve Kaiser’s Housing Bill Passes Senate Commerce Committee
Housing affordability has been one of the most discussed issues at the Capitol this session, with a number of bills being introduced to try and address this issue. SB 1117 is one of those bills. It was introduced by Senator Steve Kaiser and is a comprehensive housing bill to address the lack of housing and affordability. SB 1117 was successful in its first challenge and was passed by the Senate Commerce Committee with a bi-partisan vote of 5-2 on Wednesday, February 9th.
