In 1975, Phil Erickson founded Erickson Framing as a framer for major home builders in Phoenix. In 1986, Erickson acquired a Phoenix truss facility to complement its framing operations and expanded the operation into California in 1988 and Nevada in 1994.

As a true industry leader, Erickson recognized the potential for increased efficiency and quality and helped pioneer the concept of complete framing systems, transitioning the company from stick-framing to panelized framing in the ’90s.  By fabricating wall panels, floor panels, and roof systems at a factory and then shipping and erecting them at the construction site, Erickson dramatically reduced construction time, material waste, labor inputs, and carrying costs for customers.
